The Knights of Columbus, Council # 4952 was founded on April 10, 1960.

Over the past 55 years, the Warwick Valley Council has proudly served the Parishes within its jurisdiction and the Warwick Valley community at large, constantly exemplifying the guiding principles of our Order following the example set by Fr. Michael J. McGivney, the founder of our order:

                                                                  • Charity
                                                                  • Unity
                                                                  • Fraternity

During this time, the Knights have assisted our Parishes by cleaning the Churches during the Christmas and Easter seasons. constructing a handicapped-accessible ramp for St. Edwards Church and building a Christmas Creche for St. Stephen’s. We also give of our time and talents for various fund raising events. The 4th Degree Color Corps have been constant participants in Church and civic activities including the Installation and Farewell Masses for our priests, the Memorial Mass for deceased members, the Archdiocese’s annual “Right to Life” Mass in St. Patrick’s Cathedral and marching in the Memorial Day and St. Patrick’s Day Parades.

In the community, we have held a Thanksgivings Day Dinner for those who are less fortunate, sponsored an annual toy drive to collect and distribute toys to children at Christmas, clean a 3.7 mile stretch of highway on Route 17A between the villages of Warwick & Florida twice a year and sponsor food baskets for needy families during the Thanksgiving and Christmas holidays.

We are a Catholic Fraternal Organization, dedicated to the support of our Holy Mother Church and its guiding principles. We stand strong for the cause of life from the womb until death and continue to speak out in its defense in our prayer to end abortion at each of our meetings, sponsoring a bus to the annual Right to Life March in Washington and our Member’s participation in and sponsorship of numerous Right to Life Groups.

During our past 55 years, through our efforts and those who have gone before us, we have been able to achieve great things, but our next 55 have an opportunity to be even greater. Our membership is at an all time high and we are active in many new areas. Through our efforts, and those of our future leaders, we will continue our impressive record of contributions to the Warwick Valley community.
